The four pillars of the grace to bloom
Intercession * Biblical application * Community * Faith
Intercession is the act of praying on one’s behalf. James 5:16 says “Therefore, confess your sins one to another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working”. While none of us have the ability or authority to absolve anyone of their sins, we do have the responsibility to pray for one another. One day it’s you who needs the prayer, the next day it’s you who needs to do the praying. Prayer is our way of talking with and hearing from the Father. It pleases Him when we come to Him with our every need, but He loves when we are able to lift up each other in prayer.
Biblical application. As a Christ-centered ministry, The Grace to Bloom stands on the truth found in the Word of God. II Timothy 3:16-17 says “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work”. Try not to focus on the word “man”. This applies to us too. God has work for us to do as well, and we must equip ourselves using His Word, so that we can resist the enemy and be witnesses to the power of Christ.
Community. As we continue on this Christian journey, it’s important to remember that we were not meant to do life alone. Hebrews 10:25 says “Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near”. You might be feeling like nobody understands what you’re going through, but I have seen firsthand how one woman’s courage and vulnerability opened the eyes of so many women who had experienced a similar situation.
Faith. One thing to keep in mind is not to allow what you see (or don’t see) to supersede what God has said. He does not make empty promises. Even when it seems like He’s taking forever, we have to believe that He will do what He said He will do. Hebrews 11:1 says “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”.
